Confort, Climatisation équipement: machine à laver, lave vaisselle, ustensile de cuisine , propreté, proximité de la ville.
La terrasse pas couverte comme sur la photo, manque un parasol car on ne peut pas en profiter en plein soleil.
Francesca was friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. I like the style of the apartment - simple and cheerful. Close to the sea (partial view from the balcony) and not far from good places to eat. Close to many amazing tourist attractions, and in walking distance from all the very best Palermo has to offer. Parking in the street below the apartment. Air con works well, well laid out, and everything was clean (esp. bed linen and towels), tidy and in good working order.
Despite being in a really good location, the area immediately around the apartment is quite run down, though actually much of Palermo is like that, and it still feels safe and friendly. Kitchen is a little under-equipped for full self-catering (e.g. there is a grill microwave, but no oven) - but the essentials were there.
My apartment is located in the Kalsa district, one of the oldest in the city, the true historical heart of Palermo, as you rightly wrote a few steps away from all the major monuments. The district is a popular district and, like all the cities of southern Italy, a bit shabby. It is precisely this that fascinates tourists. A city of great beauty that, unfortunately, lives certain conditions of urban decay. I can not give you absolutely wrong. It should be loved as it is !! Furthermore the Kalsa district is absolutely safe and quiet, night and day. The strong contrasts of Palermo, beauty and degradation, are a symbol of Palermo. And some of all the cities of southern Italy. But we are a generous and hospitable people !!
Very cosy. Good bed and supermarket very close.
This wonderful apartment is ideally located in Palermo's historic district and within walking distance to excellent restaurants, cafes, museums and antiquities. The owners, Davide & Donatella, express a sincere interest in their welcom. The apartment has all the amenities a seasoned traveler would expect and is highly recommended.
We couldn't find a negative! Apartment has all the modern conveniences including laundry, microwave, well-appointed kitchen, linens, etc.
Thank you so much Nick; you and your wife are very special guests. I hope to meet you again
A very special apartment. A luxury apartment with a fantastic roof garden/terrace. A very personal apartment with a lot of antiques. We felt like taking part in the long life of a family with high cultural life experience. We were very welcomed by Max, who met us on the street and organized parking of our car in a nearby parking house. We will never forget this special stay in Palermo! Our best recommendations. Excellent host and a fantastic apartment. Bjørg Agate and John, Bergen, Norway.
A little bit difficult to find when arriving by car, also because heavy traffic in Palermo and a lot of one-way streets.
Try to describe in a more detailed way the location, and where to drive.
The location is excellent, only 6-7 blocks from the main street in Palermo.
very comfortable and easy walking distance to all the sights
no dislikes. grazie mille
Thanks, a hug
It is a great location and comfortable apartment and we really enjoyed our time in Palermo.
A couple of larger bowls for serving would have been nice. Also a wooden spoon . Dessert spoons fallen apart. Kitchen equipment very minimal. One Dining chair fell apart. hair dryer does not fit sockets so no use. Old bottles with cigarette stubs left on terrace. Would have been nice to have clean towels provided at some stage during our 7 day stay.
Michelangelo and his wife went out of their way to welcome us, provide information and ensure we were comfortable. They were first class hosts.
The steep staircase without gate.
Bed was comfortable
Apartment claims to have fully equipped kitchen & coffee machine: there were 2 old coffee percolators with no handles so they couldn't be used, tin opener didn't work & there was no corkscrew. Apartment felt tired & worn - net curtains were grubby & torn - & it would have benefitted from some proper dusting & checking equipment works. 'Entire area full of shops' gives the wrong idea unless you like shopping in Carrefour hypermarket. Location 'in heart of Palermo' was a 30 minute walk to centre.
